Before Mike and I left for Hawaii, I made a bunch of vague promises about keeping in touch, and writing often, and regaling all my friends with missives and witticisms and tales of adventure from the islands.
Been here about a month. Not a word. No regaling, no witticisms, no nothin’.
I have, however, been doing a fair amount of exploring (or getting lost—the distinction resting largely in whether or not it’s important to arrive on time), and doing pretty extensive beach and restaurant, umm…research. Oh, and working. Alas, the bills don’t stop just because I have a vacation-y ZIP code.
I’ve also spent a good deal of that time threatening to start a blog, so that I can assuage my feelings of guilt about being incommunicado without jamming people’s inboxes. So, after much contemplation, many good intentions and several false starts (in other words, a lot of big talk) I’m diving in. This will be the spot I use to throw down the occasional update/tale of adventure, so bookmark it and visit often!
